Patanga, a local planned community (or multiple occupancy community), celebrated its 25th anniversary last Saturday with a 24 hour celebration and party. Most of the inhabitants of Darkwood Road were invited. During the day there were games for kids and adults. The kids won the soccer game against the adults… In the evening there was plenty of pizza made in an outdoor oven. The oven, made by Brekkie’s dad, has encouraged a lot of culinary creativity. Poetry was presented: Haiku composed by the people there, and a poem by Craig Nelson read by his esteemed self. Live music followed and celebrations flowed well into the night.
