humidity, doors, windows, benchtops

We’ve finally had a couple of days of reasonable temperature and some afternoon sub tropical rain storms (associated with a lot of power blackouts) which means that rather than hunkering down inside in air conditioning, we can venture out in relative comfort to make progress on things during the day.

The stained glass windows that we purchased in Sydney for use in the main house have been stripped and had their preliminary coats of polyyurethane. We need to get them done fairly quickly because they will be wanted by the builders prior to Christmas.

We’ve been to see a kitchen manufacturer and settled a deal to build the kitchen. All drawers and a slide out pantry. Bliss! We will source the bench tops from a local (Darcy) who cuts and mills his own timber.
