lambchop

At the height of the flood, the neighbour's sheep gave birth to tiny adorable twins. It poured with rain and the little dears were shivering and too weak to stand to get any colostrum from the ewe. The ewe was also weak and not feeding. They were taken inside overnight and fed using an eye dropper the colostrum that had been hand milked from the ewe, given electrolytes and copious amounts of TLC. Two days later the smallest one died and was buried in the flower garden. Nature is a funny thing. Now that there is only one baby to feed the ewe is feeling better and the remaining lamb is growing stronger. Here's the two of them the day after they were born:
