The poolroom/studio is lately in the process of transforming into a schmick holiday apartment with a lovely view of the river. Here's the progress:
The bathroom has a ways to go. The old vanity (pictured) is being replaced by a painted French kitchen timber bench with a white porcelain bowl and mixer sitting on timber slab top. The floor and some of the walls are going to be tiled. The old bath is gone and a glass shower partiton and new WC will be installed.
The bedroom (my old studio) has a new window which will afford a view of the river from the bed. Last coat of paint just being applied when this photo was taken.
The living, dining, kitchen area (old pool room) has been freshly painted and, for privacy and noise reduction, the partition between it and the old studio room (now the bedroom above) has been continued all the way up to the ceiling. The photo shows a plastic bag over the light fitting to protect it from the paint. To the left of the bedroom door will be the entertainment unit and to the right, an L-shaped kitchen.
Another view of the converted old pool room. This will be the dining area near the stained glass windows with a fan above the table. Some furniture is piled up in the middle of the room for the time being.
The converted old pool room again looking through the louvred windows and main door to the river. Some furniture and the slow combustion fireplace is covered by sheets for the time being.
